Easy Peasy Pudding Pound Cake

This is the easiest little pound cake...

Pound. Cake.

Pound Cake.

Poooouuuuuunnnnnd Cake.

Yum.

Sorry, I got distracted.

This is the easiest little pound cake recipe I've ever come across. So moist. So sweet. No one will ever know it has only 5 ingredients - all of which you probably have in your pantry right now.

What You'll Need:

1 cake mix, any flavor (my favorite is classic white)
1 4-serving size instant pudding mix, same flavor as cake  mix
1 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
(My favorite little additive: chocolate chips)

Ready for the excruciating instructions?

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Beat all your ingredients together for 2 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl.

Grease your pan - I always like to grease (with crisco) and dust with flour just to be safe!

Give your whisk one or two more trips around just for fun!

Pour your delicious batter into your prepared pan...

Now throw a good couple handfuls of chocolate chips on there. They melt and sink and create one of the most Heavenly crusts you will ever sink your teeth into. Mmmmm.

Just trust me... go get the chocolate chips.

Bake at 350 degrees until the cake either tests done (with a toothpick) or springs back when you touch the top near the center.

Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy. The outside turns beautifully dark brown, and when using a white cake mix, the inside is a glorious gold color.

Enjoy!
